Winx's Cox Plate chances boosted after gender weight allowance to stay

Senior Racing Victorian Handicapper, Greg Carpenter, has strongly defended the century-old gender allowance that is given to all fillies and mares including world champion race mare Winx who is poised to win her second $3 million Cox Plate on Saturday under that same scale.
