Mexican location scout Carlos Munoz Portal has been shot to death in a violent region in central Mexico Monday while scouting for season four of Netflix's hit show Narcos.

Location Scout for Netflix's 'Narcos' Shot Dead in Mexico 01:28

Carlos Muñoz Portal, a location scout for the Netflix show Narcos, was found shot to death in Mexico. Muñoz, 37, and his bullet-riddled car were found in a secluded area in San Bartolo Actopan, near the borders of Hidalgo state, which is believed to have the highest murder rate in the country.
