back to normal by thanksgiving with highs in the 70s. >> jon: thank you. you can help the hungry, the ninth annual charleston basket to feed 3500 families in our area. here to tell us all about it. how big and great this program has got in last eight years pup said a well oiled machine? >> we are a local non-profit on a mission to federal charleston families for thanksgiving mp and over last eight years we have raised more than 535,000, and fed over 17,000 families. >> jon: that is such a wonderful thing, especially at the holidays. and it done take much to feed a family and get them what they need for thanksgiving? >> it only cost $30 to feed a family than and our goal is to feed 3,500. and we are proud to say every single.y goes to purchasing food. and we provide them with everything to cook a thanksgiving meal. from a turkey to a pumpkin pie to treasure rolls and sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes, anything that you can think of, we are providing that. >> jon: these are baskets and even packing these things, the smiles on people's faces. it is unentiring. >> it is incredible. i think everyone should come out and volunteer next tuesday and see this jaw dropping effect. we have hundreds of voupts that come out to the convention center and they assemble the meals and deliver them to family and if you can imagine having a convention center filled with the food needed to feed that many families, it's a lot. >> jon: you can donate monetarily oh volunteer your time. how do people get involved? go to charlestonbasketbrigade and there are volunteer opportunities as well. he they all happen next tuesday for assembly of the meals. >> jon: $30 is cost of a tank of gas a meal out... >> a couple of star bucks, you know. and it can go a long way and make someone's thanksgiving this year.
