Hillary Clinton’s team is reportedly trying to uncover the inside sources who contributed to the new book about her failed 2016 presidential bid titled, “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign.

” Hillary Clinton’s team is reportedly trying to uncover the inside sources who contributed to the new book about her failed 2016 presidential bid titled, “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign.

”  Page Six quotes one unnamed person as saying, “The knives are out to find the people who spoke about the campaign to the authors of this book.

” More than 100 sources are believed to have contributed to the research, notes the New York Times.

The person also said to Page Six about Dennis Cheng, the Clinton campaign’s finance director, “Dennis has been texting prominent campaign staffers, asking who talked.

He’s on a witch hunt to find out who talked to save their own skin, throwing Hillary and her campaign manager Robby Mook under the bus.

”  According to NPR, the book, authored by Amie Parnes and Jonathan Allen, describes a campaign “plagued with division, unease and anxiety practically from the outset.

”  Among the revelations is that, after the 2008 election, Clinton reportedly searched through former staffers’ emails to identify leakers and determine why she lost.

And for the 2016 election, the book contends that she could not explain the driving purpose behind her campaign nor was her team able to respond well to crises.

One of these problem areas was the scandal over her use of a private email server; the book says former President Obama thought “her handling of the scandal — obfuscate, deny, and evade — amounted to political malpractice.

” Ultimately, Clinton lost the election, and, as the book reveals, she not only congratulated Donald Trump on his victory but also apologized to Obama about her loss, reportedly telling him, “Mr. President, I’m sorry.” .
