A polling firm found that a majority of France's armed police favor the right-wing presidential candidate Marine Le Pen.
The poll surveyed 588 members of the Gendarmerie between March 31st and April 18th.
According to their methods, the poll sought to balance numerous social categories including; religious beliefs, status in the police service, and gender.
Their data found that 51-percent of the policed supported the Front National leader in the current presidential election.
But higher ranking officers were found to be more likely to vote for Conservative Republican candidate François Fillon.
