" toyian anderson sits in on every rochester city school board meeting. tonight's agenda was dedicated to managing an aggressive timeline the new york state education department is giving the board 60 days to choose one of three options: put the school 41 into receivership - which means an independent party recommended by the state, would take control from the school board. close 41. or close, then re- open as a new school. the board's president, van white says they will probably ask for more time. ((sot)) van white " what i don't think is that an independent receiver or a district can do is provide a transformative initiative in such a short time frame.
" while the board debates what to do -- parents are worried about something else. at least 100 students at school 41 are autistic.
