Alberto Fernández: President of Argentina
Alberto Ángel Fernández is an Argentine politician serving as President of Argentina since 2019. A member of the Justicialist Party, he was Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers during the entirety of the presidency of Néstor Kirchner and the early months of the presidency of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. His tenure from 2003 to 2008 remains the longest since the post was created in 1994. He won the 2019 general election with 48% of the vote, defeating incumbent President Mauricio Macri.
