Andrew Mark Cuomo is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 56th governor of New York from 2011 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he was elected to the same position that his father, Mario Cuomo, held for three terms. Cuomo resigned from office on August 23, 2021 amidst numerous allegations of sexual misconduct. At the time of his resignation, he was the longest-tenured governor in the United States.
