A grandmother has started a TikTok dance craze to encourage young people topractise social distancing. Margaret Hansard, 78, is staging what she calls a"nantervention" by trying to spread the message that young people who do notfollow the guidelines could be at risk of passing the coronavirus on to theirgrandparents. In the video, posted on her granddaughter Lucy's TikTok account,Mrs Hansard is seen performing actions to the song Supalonely by Benee, whilecaptions read: "I'm staging a Nantervention to get Hertfordshire's grandkidsto socialise safely... And protect your nans!"

Hundreds of people participated in an anti-China protest in Canada’s Vancouver over atrocities against Uyghurs. The protestors marched from Vancouver Art Gallery to the Chinese consulate office in Vancouver. Over 500 people participated in the protest raising anti-china slogans. Around seven human rights groups joined hands to express solidarity. Uyghurs are a Muslim minority group in China's northwest Xinjiang province. Demonstrations condemning Chinese atrocities on ethnic Uyghurs were held in Canadian city Vancouver. Shouting anti-China slogans, protesters carried a march till Chinese embassy. Seven human rights groups expressed solidarity with minority ethnic group. They said that Beijing has been systematically cleansing north-western Xinxiang of its natives. Millions of Uyghurs have been arrested and sent to concentration camps. Left with no parents, children have been picked and admitted to state-run orphanages, where the curriculum is strictly in line Chinese agenda of destroying 'Uyghur ethnicity'. The Turkic speaking minority is going through a humanitarian crisis. China has trampled upon their rights, religious freedom. Historical places of worship, education have been demolished. Residential neighbourhoods have been replaced with Beijing-approved architecture. Excessive restrictions have been imposed on their movement, practice of culture, nature of employment. Brute highhandedness is exercised to change their political, ideological, religious beliefs. The instructions for Uyghurs are simple if they want to live in China, they will have to live Chinese way.

US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said that he is looking forward to the India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue. “I am looking forward to our 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue with our Indian friends. He added, "I'm also sure that my meetings will also include discussions on how free nations can work together to thwart the threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party.” The Trump administration also hit Chinese media outlets in the US with new restrictions. “They are all substantially owned or controlled by a foreign government. We’re not placing any restrictions on what these outlets can publish in the United States. We simply want to ensure that American people, consumers of information, can differentiate between news written by a free press and propaganda distributed by the Chinese Communist Party itself. They are not the same thing,” he said.

He said, "Just this week the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) issued a fact sheet, trying to divert attention away from its own horrific environmental record. China is the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases, par none." "It is responsible for an estimated 30% of plastic pollution in the world's oceans, more than any other country. It is the largest consumer of illegal wildlife and timber products," he added.
A massive anti-China protest was held outside the Chinese Consulate in Canada's Toronto. The protest was organised on the 71st National Day of People's Republic of China. Members of Hong Kong, Tibetan, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Taiwanese and other communities took part in the protest. Members of Indian diaspora in Toronto were also present on Thursday. The protesters chanted 'Free Hong Kong', 'Free Tibet', 'Free Vietnam' among other slogans. During the protest, they also tore the flag of Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The protesters also urged international communities to intervene and take measures to tackle Chinese oppression. A series of anti-China protests have taken place since late June. The protests were also staged in solidarity with India against China's actions in Ladakh. Earlier, protests were also held in Canada's Vancouver and Montreal.
