‘Doom Patrol’ Renewed for Season 2, Will Stream on DC Universe and HBO Max“Doom Patrol” has been renewed for a second season that is set to premiere in 2020, with episodes to stream simultaneously on both the DC Universe streaming platform and Warner Bros.’ HBO Max streaming service. The news was announced Saturday night by executive producer Jeremy Carver and series star Diane Guerrero (Crazy Jane) during the DC Universe panel at Comic-Con 2019.

In addition, all 15 episodes of “Doom Patrol” Season 1 will be available for streaming on HBO Max when the service launches.

Here is the logline for “Doom Patrol”: Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured.  Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found their purpose through The Chief, coming together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence.  Following the mysterious disappearance of The Chief these reluctant heroes will find themselves in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of superpowered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them.
