The Democrats Make Gains in Midterm Elections
This week’s Midterm Elections in the US saw a dramatic change in Congress, as the Democrats gained enough seats and votes to claim back the majority of the House of Representatives for the first time since 2010. The Republicans, meanwhile, were able to strengthen their majority in the Senate, meaning that the results have been a mixed bag for both sides – though many will be watching to see whether or not the House opts to investigate Trump further with their new powers.

In light of mass global walkouts to protest against sexual harassment policies, Google has this week announced that it intends to rewrite some of its rules to give complainants greater say in proceedings – as well as to implement a ‘drinking limit’ to combat the influence of alcohol, which has reportedly been identified as a common trend in harassment claims lobbied with the firm.
