We’re in the final stretch of 2018 – what does this final 31 days hold for us in terms of big stories and newsworthy moments? Who’s to say – but if this past seven days are anything to go by, it’s set to be an interesting finish to a dramatic year. As always, here’s our digest and take for you on some of the biggest stories the past week has had to offer.

Another Muddled Week for May
As of Tuesday, December 11th, UK Prime Minister Theresa May will know whether or not her fated plan for Brexit will be accepted or not. With many sources suggesting it likely won’t be, could this mean we are heading towards a no-Brexit scenario? May’s government were found in contempt of Parliament this week for not publishing legal advice – and that legal advice appears to suggest Brexit negotiations could be going on for years to come.

Kevin Hart Lands – and Resigns – the Oscars Hosting Post
This week, comic actor Kevin Hart took up the mantle of host of the 91st Academy Awards and resigned the position within 24 hours – but why? Who will replace Hart at this stage remains to be seen – but he is the latest in a number of high profile names who have been taken to task over their online musings.
