The family was instead given a great dane and learned that their pet was in Japan.????((VO-MAshable Screenshot/Planes))??United released a statement to Mashable noting that the error occurred during a connection in Denver.

On Monday, a dog died in an overhead bin after the airline reportedly insisted the family put it there.
According to The Guardian, the carrier was sued last year after a giant rabbit died on one of its flights.????
