Welcome back-- jonah restuccio has joined me on the desk which means it's time for sports.

Jonah-- the winter sports season is over, but still a busy day across salisbury.

The weather is finally allowing us to get outside more--which is whiy we have some baseball later on, but first-- we had two final basketball games that still had to be played.

For the final time-- the top bayside seniors-- from both the north and the south--came together in the 33rd anual cliff mister senior all-star game.

The girls kicked off the night-- in what would be their final game as a member of the bayside conference.

1 pick things up in the second half-- bennett's eliza handy with the outlet to mardela's kayla cooke-- she finishes with the layup.

2 south would be up by as many as 13-- but north not going away.

Kent county's tiera johnson with a long range missle-- ties things up at 63-- to overtime we go.

3 in extra time-- johnson just taking over.

4 that would tie things up-- but wihi's armani williams--in her home gym--spots up from the corner to give the south back the lead.

72-70 5 after north would tie things up-- with less than 10 seconds to go -- piajah johnson-- drop step to the hoop and finish.

The south-- continues their all-star game win streak in thrilling fashion-- 72 to 71 ...we pulled it out to the finish.

1 to the boys--wihi's lequan pettit opening up the scoring with a stepback three-the first team all baysider finished with a team high 23.

2 from team north-- naail thompson with a fancy finish in the lane through some traffic.

3 and then with time running down in the half, joey adams up to justin warner-- puts home the two handed jam.

North -- they would have the 64-60 lead at the halftime break.

4 and in the second half-- pocomoke's scoring machine tyree thorton -- through the open lane with the one handed slam.


After a north defensive stop-- the bayside north player of the year-- joey adams drains the three-- game high 34 points for him.

Now-- they would need overtime to determine a winner as well-- 136 to 132 the north hangs on to take it over the south.

1 and to salisbury university-- north caroline grad colby dean getting the nod against virginia wesleyan-- strikes out brandon kussmaul looking.

2 but the k's would stop and the bats would get hot for the marlins, bases loaded and randy neisz not with just a simple homer-- but a grand slam-- 4 rbi's top open things up at 4-0.

3 and then the runs would keep on coming--corey king with the double to the left center gap.

Dylan gentry comes around to make 5-0 in the top of the fourth.

4 su would get on the board finally in the bottom of the inning as simon palenchar slaps a single past second-- that would bring scott ardoin through home-- 7-3 now the score.

5 but the marlins were seeing the ball well.

With brad keith in relief-- king this time laying down the bunt-- that brings in zack burkhart invirginia wesleyan goes up 8-3 and doesn't look back-- coasting to the 10-5 road victory.
