Kim Kardashian's mission to free Alice Marie Johnson has finally paid off, reports Us Weekly.
Kardashian visited the White House on May 30 to discuss prison reform and Johnson’s life sentence.
She was able to convince President Trump to commute her sentence for a first-time nonviolent drug offense.
Kardashian said, "It became this mission that I just didn’t want to give up."
She was in talks for seven months to make the commutation happen.
Because of Johnson, Kim believes Trump’s stance on sentencing for those charged with drug offenses is already changing.
