Capital Gazette Shooting Suspect Indicted on 23 Counts
Prosecutors filed a 23-count indictment against the suspect in the deadly shooting last month at an Annapolis, Maryland, newsroom. According to the Anne Arundel County State's Attorney's office, a federal grand jury indicted 38-year-old Jarrod Ramos on five counts of first degree murder, one count of attempted first degree murder and six counts of first degree assault.
The grand jury also indicted him on eleven counts for the use of a firearm in commission of a crime of violence. In June, five staff members of the Capital Gazette were killed during the shooting.
