Stephen Hawking’s Final Scientific Paper On Hairy Black Holes Published Online
The late Stephen Hawking’s last paper on hairy black holes has been published online.????It was published on arXiv and is titled “Black Hole Entropy and Soft Hair.” ????Now I’m sure you're wondering what hairs have to do with black holes and truthfully, it's a super complex idea.
????But the gist is pretty much that information can survive being pulled into a black hole.????The general idea for black holes is that once something enters one, it can never escape and leaves no trace behind.
????However, Hawking and his collaborators say that isn’t necessarily true, and that information can be stored in the “soft hairs” that hypothetically exist around the black holes edges.????Hawking presented his research in 2015 and also added the idea that objects that fall into black holes could end up in another universe.
????He said that black holes aren't as black as they’re painted, and that they aren't the eternal prisons we once thought they were.
