Stephen Lynch Clarifies How He Will Vote Regarding Nancy Pelosi As Speaker

Sixteen lawmakers or members-elect have signed a letter promising to vote against Nancy Pelosi for speaker.

Democrat Rep.

Stephen Lynch was one of those people but is now clarifying his stance.

According to Politico, Lynch says he will only support Pelosi as speaker if it’s against a Republican.

Some of those supporting Pelosi say a vote against her would help a Republican become speaker.

But technically members can vote for a Democrat other than the nominee.
