(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) OUTGOING BOCA JUNIORS COACH, GUILLERMO BARROS SCHELOTTO, SAYING: "And you all (the media) might have a ton of questions which I'd prefer to avoid today.

I want to go in peace today.

I've given my all.

I want to leave in peace with the fans.

I don't want to be right (in an argument with the media).

So, I'd like to thank you.

Our paths will cross again at some point, time will tell.

When I left as a player I didn't know I'd come back to coach and be a champion.

I wish the best for Boca.

I think it is best for Boca and I reiterate again, I leave with a lot of affection and fondness for the Boca fans who have treated me incredibly.

I thank the fans." 3.

SCHELOTTO GETTING UP AND EMBRACING ANGELICI AND WAVING STORY: Boca Juniors have parted company with manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto less than a week after their defeat in the Copa Libertadores final by arch-rivals River Plate.

Boca lost 3-1 after extra time in last Sunday's (December 9) second leg in Madrid to go down 5-3 on aggregate.

It was the first Copa Libertadores final between the Buenos Aires rivals.

The final was twice postponed and eventually played in Spain because of violence caused by River fans in Buenos Aires.

Schelotto, whose contract was due to end on December 31, spent the majority of his 16-year playing career at Boca, winning three Copa Libertadores titles and scoring 86 goals.
