Markets Fall As Interest Rates Increase

According to CNN, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped below 23,000 points.

The loss brought Wall Street's VIX volatility index to its highest level since February.

Earlier in the year, the top three markets on the New York Stock Exchange courted with corrections, with the Dow fluctuating 1,000 points in a single day.

But the Dow Jones also weathered two 1,000-point plunges over one week in February.
