S&P 500 Hits Three Week High Amid Stock Rally
According to Reuters, the S&P 500 hit a three-week high after reaching a 20-month low around Christmas.
But the S&P has grown more than 9-percent since late December.
Gains made on Jan.
8th were attributed to Apple, Amazon, and Facebook, along with industrial shares that rose due to growing trade optimism.
By the afternoon, the S&P was up about 1-percent, rising to 2,574.
On the day, ten of its top eleven sectors were trading higher, but the financials index didn't move because the US Treasury yield curve flattened.
