Los Angeles Zoo Names Baby Deer After Korean Pop Star Due To Likeness

A doe, a deer, a popstar deer…..wait what?

??Workers at the Los Angeles zoo were quite surprised when they ??posted a photo of their newborn Southern Pudu deer on Instagram.??The reactions were maybe not quite what they expected when commenters compared the deer’s looks to that of ??Korean singer Lee Dong-hyuck aka Haechan of the band NCT.

??But you can judge for yourself.

??According to SWNS, over the years, die hard fans of the Haechan have given him the nickname “pudu” because of his likeness to the animal.??The Los Angeles zoo took the opportunity of the baby deer’s newfound fame by having a fundraising campaign to help name the deer.

??And to no surprise, over 190 Haechan fans pledged almost $2,580, to name the deer Bambi.

??Only kidding, it’s name is now Haechan.

??SWNS went on to report the money for the campaign will help the conservation of endangered and threatened animals like the pudu.

??And here’s an animal factoid, the Southern Pudu deer is the smallest deer species on earth and grow to only about 3 feet in height.

??But if there’s one popstar I’d name an animal after it would be??…..DAVID HASSELHOFF.??“Jump in my car”??Yes, the man can do it all!
