Charlotte Russe Files For Bankruptcy, Closes 94 Stores

Charlotte Russe filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday.

The women's clothing retailer said it planned to close 94 of its roughly 500 stores, says Business Insider.

The majority of Charlotte Russe stores operate in shopping malls.

The brand also operates the children's brand Peek Kids.

The company has received up to $50 million in debtor-in-possession financing to keep the business operating.
