Snow Lingers Atop Haleakala National Park in Hawaii

Snow hit Hawaii’s island of Maui over the weekend of February 10, leaving a layer of about six inches to a foot lingering atop Haleakala’s National Park the following day.

This footage shows a glimpse of the conditions along one of Haleakala’s mountainous trails.

The park was shut down following the snowfall, with rangers preventing people from entering at one of the entrances at about 6,500 feet, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
