U.S. Trade Negotiators To Conclude Talks With China
Reuters reports the Trump administration’s top two negotiators in trade talks with China will meet again on Friday with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said on Thursday that there has not yet been a decision made regarding whether the US will extend the deadline of March 1 for a deal.
Kudlow told Fox News that the "vibe is good" in U.S.-China talks that are set to conclude on Friday.
Both sides want to de-escalate a tariff war that has taken a toll on global growth forecasts.
As of now, the US has plans to increase ariffs on $200 billion worth of imports from China by 25 percent from 10 percent if a deal is not reached by March 1.
Trump said Wednesday that the negotiations had been progressing “very well.”
