Infuriated By Loss Of Border Wall Skirmish, Trump Vows To Declare National Emergency

President Donald Trump plans to go around Congress in an attempt to fund his U.S.-Mexico border wall.

According to Reuters, Trump conceded defeat in his demand that Congress provide him with $5.7 billion in wall money.

He agreed to sign a funding bill that prevents another government shutdown, but lacks funding for the wall.

At the same time, he vowed to declare a national emergency.

The step is likely to plunge him into a court battle with Congress over constitutional powers.
