Amazon.com Inc.

Was all over the news this week.

Amazon Amazon is investing $700 million into electric pick up truck startup Rivian, which was announced Friday morning.

This highlights the rising competition coming Tesla Inc.'s way.

Tesla wanted to invest in making electric pickup trucks, but now will not be the first to market on the initiative.

Amazon will also hold off its plans to build its second headquarters in New York City, as the political backlash was too great for Amazon's liking.

Multiple top politicians, as well as Vice Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Charlie Munger had much to say about the development.

Facebook & FTC Facebook Inc.

And the Federal Trade Commission are reportedly working on a settlement to data privacy issues related to the Cambridge Analytica scandal, a settlement that would cost the social media giant billions.
