U.S. Wants China To Pledge To Stable Yuan
Reuters reports the United States wants China to pledge that it will not devalue its yuan as part of an agreement to end the two countries’ trade war.
Officials from the two countries resumed talks on Tuesday in Washington.
Bloomberg reported the representatives discussed how to address currency policy in a “Memorandum of Understanding."
The "memorandum" will form the basis of the U.S.-China trade deal.
The US previously announced a deadline of March 1 for reaching a trade deal with China before it would increase tariffs again.
