The n-h-l trade deadline came and went today with the vancouver canucks making a couple of last minute deals - one of which heavily involving making a couple of last minute deals - one of which heavily involving the utica comets.

The canucks traded comets forward jonathan dahlen to the san jose sharks in exchange for forward linus karlsson.

This was the 21-year-old dahlen's first full year playing in north america - appearing in two at the end of last season for the comets.

This year he had 14 goals and 15 assists in 50 games for utica where he was fifth on the team with 29 points.

Karlsson is a 19 year old prospect currently playing pro hockey in his native sweden.

According to vancouver general manager jim benning good about getting karlsson in this deal.
