Mohammad Javad Zarif's Resignation Rejected By Rouhani
According to CNN, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani rejected the foreign minister's surprise resignation.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif abruptly resigned from the post on Feb.
But a day later, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said the presidential office has not accepted the resignation.
Iranian law requires the president to accept a resignation before moving forward.
Zarif has served at the post since 2013, and was instrumental in negotiations for the Iranian nuclear accord in 2015.
