Republican Harris will not run again after tainted U.S. House election
According to Reuters, Mark Harris has withdrawn from a new election after a previous election drew national attention because of ballot fraud.
North Carolina Republican Mark Harris said he will not run for the 9th Congressional District seat in the new election citing concerns for his health.
Harris led the previous election by 905 votes, which was held on Nov.
6th, but the state's elections board found evidence of voter fraud due to irregularities in the vote count.
That led North Carolina’s bipartisan elections board to unanimously vote for a new election.
