Canada Says Extradition Hearing For Huawei's Meng Wanzhou May Proceed

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, the Canadian government said that it would allow an extradition hearing to proceed against Meng Wanzhou, the chief financial officer of Huawei Technologies who was detained in Canada late last year.

The Canadian government said in a statement, “Today, department of Justice Canada officials issued an authority to proceed, formally commencing an extradition process in the case of Ms. Meng Wanzhou.
