Tech Stocks Give A Boost To S&P 500

According to Reuters, tech stocks led gains on Wall Street heading into a new week.

During morning trading on March 11th, the S&P's tech sector rose 2-percent.

Nvidia spiked by 7-percent after announcing a deal to buy Israeli chip designer Mellanox Technologies.

Apple's stock rose over 3-percent after Bank of America Merrill Lynch upgraded their guidance on the iPhone maker to 'buy.'

For the S&P 500, its top eleven sectors were all trading higher, while six of them were up over 1-percent each.
