Police Traffic Stop Leads to Million-Dollar Cannabis Haul on Queensland Highway

What began as a routine traffic stop for Queensland Police turned into something a lot more significant after more than a million dollars of cannabis was discovered in a van on the Warrego Highway, at Minden, on March 11.

Queensland Police posted footage of the moment officers from Ipswich Tactical Crime Squad intercepted a Hyundai iLoad.

A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of what police said was 250 kilos of cannabis, equating to a street value of more than AU$ 1.5 million.

A man was charged with possession of dangerous drugs.
