U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand formally launched her presidential campaign Sunday, and promised her first major step will be onto President Trump's doorstep - delivering her kickoff speech next week in front of New York City's Trump International Hotel.

I chose 'brave' too....'
In a video posted to social media, the New York Democrat touted universal healthcare, the Green New Deal and ending gun violence.
Gillibrand has already been campaigning in key states that hold early primaries, but has so far struggled to see her polling numbers jump.
A member of the centrist and fiscally conservative Blue Dog Coalition while in the House of Representatives, Gillibrand's positions shifted more to the left after she was appointed to fill the New York Senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton when Clinton became Barack Obama's Secretary of State.
As a Senator, Gillibrand's also been outspoken about sexual assault on military bases and college campuses way before the #MeToo movement.
In late 2017, she pushed for a bill changing how Congress settles sexual harassment claims made by staffers - and was criticized by some party leaders for being the first Democratic senator call for the resignation of fellow Democratic Senator Al Franken, who was accused of groping women without their consent.
Gillibrand joins more than a dozen other Democrats who've launched presidential bids….
She'll travel on Monday to campaign in Michigan, followed by stops in key early contest states Iowa and Nevada.
