'Egg Boy' reveals why he smashed an egg on controversial Australian lawmaker

ROUGH CUT.

NO REPORTER NARRATION Will Connolly, the Australian teenager known as 'Egg Boy', spoke on Sunday (March 24) for the first time about why he egged controversial Australian senator Fraser Anning.

In an interview on Australia's Network Ten's The Project, that aired on Monday night (March 25), Connolly said Anning's comments blaming New Zealand's mass mosque shootings on the country's immigration programme spurred him into action.

The footage of Anning being egged on the back of his head, before lashing out at the boy, was shared widely on social media.

Connolly said he was apolitical in his intentions and was overwhelmed by the support he had received.
