Proving it’s a good idea to double-check the paperwork, a British Airways flight bound for Germany landed in Scotland by mistake.????CNN reports that the flight operated by Germany’s WDL Aviation took off from London with passengers thinking they were flying east to Dusseldorf…????...while the cabin crew and more importantly, the pilots thought their destination was north in Edinburgh.????According to CNN, the culprit was an incorrectly filed flight plan.????A passenger told CNN that it’s a flight most people sleep or work through, so it wasn’t until descent that people started noticing that the landscape outside their window is not what they expected.??????The site notes that passengers were mostly amused by the mix-up, especially when a flight attendant asked who was traveling to Dusseldorf and everyone’s hand shot up.????CNN says the pilot apologized for the detour and after refuelling they continued to Germany.????In a statement, British Airways apologized to the customers and said they would work with WDL Aviation to “establish why the incorrect flight plan was filed”
