DUP Still In Opposition To Brexit Deal
According to Reuters, the leader of the Democratic Unionist Party said the party's opposition to Brexit has not changed.
Arlene Foster said during a phone call that the DUP has not shifted its position regarding Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal.
The latest announcement from the Northern Irish party comes in the wake of an extension to the European Union's withdrawal process.
Prime Minister May recently traveled to Brussels to negotiation an extension to Article 50, as the UK was scheduled to leave the EU on March 29th, with or without a deal.
PM May received to deadlines, a no-deal exit in a April, or sealed deal by late May.
But the DUP's support is critical for the prime minister to get her withdrawal agreement through parliament.
