U.S. trade team arrives in Beijing ahead of talks

(NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Thursday (March 28) he and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer looked forward to "productive meetings" as they arrived in Beijing leading a delegation for trade talks with China.

China's commerce ministry said the talks will take place this Thursday and Friday (March 29).

Then next week, Vice Premier Liu He will head to Washington for more talks.

On Wednesday (March 27) U.S. officials said China had made unprecedented proposals in talks on a range of issues, including forced technology transfer, as the countries work to overcome the remaining obstacles to a deal to end their trade war.
