According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, US and Chinese negotiators concluded their latest round of trade talks and were scheduled to resume discussions next week in an attempt to secure a deal that would end the ongoing trade conflict that has roiled the international market.
The two sides reportedly offered few details of the progress as Chinese Vice Premier Liu He wrapped up three days of meetings with US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in Washington.
Reuters reports that on Thursday, US President Donald Trump said that a deal could be announced within the next four weeks.
On Saturday, Chinese state media also said that the two sides had made 'new progress' in the talks.
