UK PM May Faces Law Requiring Her To Consult Parliament On Delay

Reuters reports Britain’s House of Lords approved legislation on Monday to give parliament the ability to change Prime Minister Theresa May’s request that the European Union delay Brexit until June 30.

The legislation will now return to the House of Commons, where it could be turned into law.

May already asked the bloc to allow Britain to remain in the UK until June 30 to have time to create a new deal, with input from the opposition Labour Party.
