So your phone has had its day and that may not feel like it has even been very long, but now you have a new shiny, better one.??Well, there are some uses for what used to be your main mode of communication.??Mashable suggests some ideas, like using it as a camera for your kids.??You could also dedicate the phone for video games, video chat, an alarm clock only, or an e-book reader.??You could also use it as a television remote.??Each service has its own app.

Just download it and link your account and put your old phone to good use.??These ideas may be good for you, if say, you can’t get any discount on the new phone by turning in the old one.??TechRepublic lists some ways you can recycle or sell your smartphone.??If your provider won’t accept it, there are companies, like Gazelle and EcoATM that will give you cash for your old phone.??The phone’s manufacturer may have a program for trade in and recycling.

Apple has one.

Samsung does too.

You won’t get cash from Samsung, but you can be assured that it’s being properly disposed of.??But … you had such good memories with that little device.
