Students Survey Tornado Damage at Louisiana Tech in Ruston

Students surveyed the damage to athletic facilities and buildings at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, on Thursday, April 25, the morning after a tornado ripped through the town, according to the News Star.

Two people were killed in the storm, Governor John Bel Edwards said.

The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning overnight.

Video from the university in Ruston shows numerous felled trees, downed power lines, and damage to facilities.

The university was closed on Thursday due to hazards such as downed power lines, the school said.

No students were reported injured.
