U.S. Agreed To Pay North Korea For Warmbier's Care But Didn't

Reuters reports White House national security adviser John Bolton said on Sunday.

That the United States signed a document agreeing to pay North Korea for Otto Warmbier's medical expenses but never paid the requested $2 million.

Bolton, who was not part of the administration at the time, confirmed that North Korea demanded the money before the American college student was flown out of Pyongyang in June 2017.

Warmbier was imprisoned in January 2016.
