Cyclone Kenneth Leaves Flattened Trees and Damaged Structures in Mozambique
Mozambique’s national weather service forecast continued rain and thunderstorms in the country on April 30 after Cyclone Kenneth caused severe flooding when it made landfall the previous week.
At least 38 people died and 160,000 remained at risk, the Associated Press reported, citing local government officials.
This footage, released by the World Food Programme (WFP) on April 29, shows flooded residential areas as well as flattened trees and structures.
The WFP said this was filmed at Pemba, Macomia Sede and Ibo Island between April 26 and April 29.
