After serving 8 years in the Obama White House, ??former VP Joe Biden is hoping that experience is just part of the reason he’ll be elected President in 2020.
??“There are three basic reasons why I’m running for President.
The first is to restore the soul of the nation.
The second is to rebuild the backbone of this nation and the third is to unify this nation.” ??But, according to the Hill, several former Obama aides and staffers are going with the noncommittal route when it comes to Biden’s campaign.
??Now, Obama did the same...stopping short of endorsing his former number 2 man after Biden reportedly asked him not to.
??The Hill spoke with more than a dozen former Obama officials ??and each talked about their affection for Biden but expressed their intention to keep their options open.
??One reportedly said quote, “I think everyone is happy to see him in the race, but I think that’s different than throwing support behind him.” ??Jen Psaki, a former spokeswoman for the 44th president said a number of these officials want to be helpful to multiple candidates.
??Another spokesperson for Obama David Litt told the Hill quote, “I was happy to see him make it official.
It’s a good feeling.” ??
