Officials Say US NGO Targeted in Kabul Attack
Numerous locals and news sources reported an explosion, followed by gunfire, in central Kabul on May 8.
Tolo News, citing a spokesman at the Ministry of Interior Affairs, said a US-based NGO, Counterpart International, was under attack.
The NGO’s offices are nearby the attorney general’s office, reports said.
At least 15 people were wounded and receiving treatment, Tolo News said.
The Taliban were claiming responsibility.
