YouTube announced on Wednesday that it will remove videos that deny the Holocaust, the shooting at Sandy Hook and other violent events ever took place, in a major reversal in policy as it fights criticism that it provides a platform for hate speech.
YouTube, which is owned by Alphabet’s Google, also said it will prohibit videos made by white supremacists and others that defend discrimination, promote segregation or glorify Nazi ideology.

"YouTube has said for years that people denying certain historical events that are well-documented, like the Holocaust or recent school shootings even, should be allowed a platform.
And they've said those videos are important for the historical record and for researchers to show that there are people with these diverse viewpoints.
But they're really changing course here and saying, 'We're not going to tolerate that anymore.'
Removing them completely is perhaps the biggest step that we've seen yet by any social platform." The move follows a wave of similar steps taken by its FAANG peers.

The remnants of The Palace of Auburn Hills were demolished in a spectacular implosion in Michigan.
‘The Palace’ was the hometown arena of the Detroit Pistons basketball team, who relocated to the new Little Caesars Arena along with the Detroit Red Wings.
When it opened its doors in 1988, the structure was a state-of-the-art venue.
Its demolition will make room for a new development expected to include technology companies.

Hunter, Oklahoma, resident Daniel John Feaster is behind bars after shooting a woman who tried to steal his flag. It was a Nazi swastika flag. Police say the 26-year-old woman was shot multiple times early Sunday after taking one of two swastika flags from Feaster's front yard. Samsung Electronics has announced that Apple Music on Samsung Smart TVs will now feature and display millions of real-time synced lyrics that animate along with the music. Users can easily scroll through a song by flipping through the lyrics, jump to a certain section, skip straight to the chorus or see where they are at in the song whenever they want. "Available on 2018 to 2020 Samsung Smart TV models, Apple Music time-synced lyrics make it easier and more fun than ever for users to sing or rap their hearts out to their favorite songs - or to discover the words of the latest hits," the company said in an official statement. The users can also search for a particular lyric, find the song, and learn the rest of the words simply by hitting play.

According to Gizmodo, LinkedIn says this was due to a bug in the company’s iOS app and not intended behavior. Reddit’s snooping was reported by iOS 14 beta users and shared on social media.
