17 Year-Old Anisimova's Grand Slam Dreams Come To An End In French Open

According to a report by CNN, on Friday, the dream of a first grand slam for 17 year-old Amanda Anisimova was dashed when she lost to Australian Ashleigh Barty in the last four at Roland Garros.

The young American, the youngest tournament semifinalist in 13 years, lost with scores of 6 to 7, and 6 to 3 twice.

CNN reports that despite her defeat, Anisimova gave a good account of herself in a dramatic match on Court Suzanne-Lenglen.

Australia's Barty will take on 19-year-old Czech Marketa Vondrousova in Saturday's final.
