Rockets Land Russell Westbrook in Blockbuster Deal With Thunder In exchange, Houston has sent point guard Chris Paul and draft picks to Oklahoma City.

The deal comes soon after the rebuilding Thunder traded star forward Paul George to the Clippers.

In that swap, Oklahoma City also received a multitude of first-round draft picks.

The 30-year-old Westbrook will now join forces with his old teammate, former MVP James Harden.

According to ESPN, the eight-time NBA All-Star was pushing for the trade to play with Harden again.

In his last year with the Thunder, Westbrook averaged a triple-double for the regular season.

The point guard, who is also an NBA MVP winner, recorded 22.9 points, 10.7 assists and 11.1 rebounds.
